一、 章节分析（Reading section ）
（一）综述
1 本单元的阅读部分围绕一群中学生讨论设计自己学校的校报展开。多数学生有过办墙报或小报纸的经历，可以从学生自己的经验出发引导学生对文章进行整体理解。文章内容和学生的生活有一定的联系，因此在引导学生理解文章的同时，也可以知道学生一起办一份自己的英语报纸，以激发学生的学习兴趣。本课的核心词汇和词组包括：suggest， vote for， elect， chief editor等。
2 9A第一学期所有chapter的阅读部分都是通过学生办报中的一些事情引出的，因此本课Chapter在衔接两册书上起了很重要的作用，学好本篇课文也为了初三的英语学习打下一定的基础。
本课的任务有两个：
1 对课文进行整体阅读。培养学生略读、细读等阅读能力。
2 结合课文，引导学生自己设计一份英语报纸，提高他们对于与英语的兴趣并培养学生综合使用英语的能力。
（二）阅读目标
1 知识目标
　　学习课文中重点词、词组、句型和语法。
2 能力目标
　　提高学生的阅读理解能力和培养学生阅读中略读、细读等技巧。
3 情感目标
让通过指导学生自己办报，培养学生合作学习的能力，提高学生在生活中运用英语的兴趣。
（三）教学方法
采用任务型教学发组织教学，通过学生自己的阅读和互相讨论达到教学目标。

Pre-reading
1 通过出示一份英文报纸学习生词：section， editor， chief editor.并完成78页上的练习A、B、C
2 请学生讨论，如果要他们自己出版报纸，首先要决定哪些内容，并学习生词：
elect， vote for， make a decision， experience
While-reading
这是本课的主体部分，即要引导学生学习重点词汇和句型，又要提高学生的阅读理解能力，培养学生的阅读技巧。
1）skimming 要求学生快速略读，了解文章的大致意思，并完成Exercise B、C。要求学生归纳本课的主线。
根据表格内容要求学生归纳文章主线。 What did the students discuss? The conclusion 2）scanning 要求学生细读课文，并理解以下问题：①Why did they elect Joyce to be the chief editor?
②Why did they elect Arthur to be the secretary?
③What did they decide at this meeting?
④What would they decide at the next meeting?
较高要求：根据[链接1的表格和以上问题复述课文。
3）通过上下文用英语解释生词。[Exercise D］
